Shehzen Sidiq

Building the platforms that keep agents online.

I co-founded Cosmic Stack and run its engineering as CTO. I built most of GitAds, the ad network for GitHub READMEs; I lead engineering on Sav.ink, our AI finance manager; and I wrote Mercury Relay, the layer that lets Mercury Cloud reach agents running on your own machine. Before that: a master's in IT and a habit of shipping machine-learning experiments in public.

Cosmic Stack

A software and AI company that ships its own products.

Cosmic Stack is an umbrella company working where AI, product strategy and engineering meet. We build and run our own SaaS, an open-source agent runtime and the cloud around it, and we take on a small number of teams who want the same engineering for their own products. My job is to make sure everything we ship is something we can operate: one stack, shared infrastructure, and code that survives contact with real users.

GitAds

Live CTO

Monetisation for open source. Maintainers earn from native, developer-friendly ads in their GitHub READMEs; advertisers reach developers where they actually work.

  • Two-sided marketplace. Publisher and advertiser accounts, balances, deposits, campaigns, and click and impression tracking per repository.
  • GitAds v2. An incremental rewrite on Next.js and CockroachDB, with shared identities across roles and an admin shell with throttling and audit logs.
  • Click-fraud protection. A fraud score per click, paid IP lookups and a daily publisher check, so advertisers pay for real developers.
  • Docs, FAQs and onboarding guides published at docs.gitads.dev.

Sav.ink

Private beta Lead engineer

A personal AI finance manager. Track expenses, manage budgets and get AI-driven insights from the web or straight from WhatsApp, Telegram and Slack.

  • Local or cloud LLMs. Run the reasoning on Ollama-class local models or hosted providers, per user.
  • Every way money arrives. Manual entry, file upload, email parsing and bank sync feed one ledger.
  • Grounded answers. Anti-hallucination checks keep the assistant tied to your actual transactions.
  • Role-based access, family mode with parent–child accounts, and tax-ready reports.

Mercury Cloud & Relay

Live Relay author

The cloud cockpit for a local Mercury agent. Pair once from the terminal, then chat, approve actions and watch live state from anywhere, while the runtime stays on your machine.

  • Mercury Relay. The real-time API between local agents and the cloud: registration, channel lookup and recovery, access control and user search over WebSockets.
  • One-command pairing. mercury cloud connect opens a browser flow; no keys to copy, no port forwarding.
  • Approvals as cards. Risky actions still ask first; terminal prompts become durable web cards.
  • Per-thread model routing, shared memory, and usage synced into daily, monthly and per-model views.

Mercury Agent

Live MIT · contributor

The open-source, soul-driven AI agent. It runs on your machine, remembers what matters, asks before it acts, and answers from the terminal, Telegram, Discord, Slack or Signal.

  • Telegram, end to end. I built pairing, access management, onboarding and the paired messaging tool.
  • The first Second Brain. The original SQLite + FTS5 memory system that Mercury’s memory layer grew from.
  • Providers. Model selection during setup, a dedicated DeepSeek SDK and the AI SDK v4 → v6 upgrade.
  • ~50 permission-gated tools, 10+ model providers with fallback, zero telemetry.
$ curl -fsSL https://mercuryagent.sh/install.sh | sh

Installs Mercury Agent as a standalone binary on macOS and Linux, no Node required. Then run mercury cloud connect to pair it with Mercury Cloud.

Before Cosmic Stack

Machine learning first, products second.

Computer vision, classic ML and speech experiments, most of them written up as tutorials. Small, honest projects that taught me to ship.

About

Engineer first, co-founder second.

I studied information technology at the Central University of Kashmir, where my master’s thesis taught a model to tell Kashmiri accents apart. After that came a run of computer-vision and data tutorials: OpenCV, NumPy, a Gradio front end for a digit classifier. None of them were big, but each one shipped.

I joined Cosmic Stack in 2024 on the business side, then moved to where I’m most useful: building. As CTO of GitAds I wrote most of the platform, about 1,600 commits across the original app and its Next.js rewrite. I became a co-founder of Cosmic Stack in 2025 and its CTO in 2026. Today I split my time between Sav.ink, GitAds and the plumbing that keeps Mercury agents reachable from anywhere.
